Responsibilities

Manage a team responsible for a caseload of plaintiff-side New York Workers’ Compensation matters from inception through resolution.
Represent injured workers at Workers’ Compensation Board hearings and conferences.
Prepare and present cases involving workplace injuries, occupational illnesses, permanency, schedule loss of use, medical treatment, and lost wages.
Review medical records and evaluate the impact of injuries on clients’ ability to work.
Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel regarding benefits and case resolution.
Develop case strategy and advise clients regarding their rights and available benefits.
Communicate regularly with clients and provide clear, compassionate legal guidance.
Prepare pleadings, motions, applications, appeals, and other necessary legal documents.
Collaborate with support staff and medical professionals to develop strong cases.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure all deadlines and procedural requirements are met.
