Qualifications

  • Five years of legal experience including supervisory experience.
  • Must be a member of the Arizona Bar or pass the next exam; applicants licensed in another jurisdiction may practice by special rule.
  • Must be a member of the White Mountain Apache Reservation Bar or willing to become; experience in legal services is helpful.
  • Ability to work with low-income communities; strong communication in a multi-cultural setting; Apache language helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in tribal court in criminal and civil matters.
  • Supervise day-to-day office operations.
  • Travel to other communities, including on the Apache reservation, as needed.
