Job summary

Texas Real Estate & Business Law Firm PLLC, based in Houston, TX, is seeking a Managing Attorney who will handle an active book of law matters while contributing to firm operations and policy decisions.

You will supervise a team of litigation attorneys, manage high-value real estate, business, and construction disputes, and maintain your own billable targets while supporting the team. This role combines practice leadership with strategic input to drive growth and culture.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising 10+ attorneys in a prior law firm.
• Handled 20+ bench trials.
• Handled 5+ jury trials.
• A self-starter, you don't need to be managed; you need to be the resource.
• Comfortable with accountability: scorecards, billable targets, and weekly metrics are part of how we run.
• Someone who's led or mentored other attorneys and wants to do more of it.
• Client-facing and confident, you can hold a room in a settlement negotiation.

About this position

As Managing Attorney, you'll carry your own book of law matters while playing an active role in the firm's operations and attorney team. This is not a pure management role; you'll stay in the work. But you'll also have a seat at the table on hiring decisions, team performance, client relationships, and firm strategy.

Compensation:

$200,000 - $250,000
