Job Summary:
Manager of Youth Programs develops, manages, and implements Youth Initiatives, Explorers Program, and Camp NMOA. Oversee teen program highlighting college, career, and life readiness skills that enables Newark-area high school students to build essential skills and self-confidence through a curriculum that draws upon the Museum’s unique collections, resources, and staff. Each year, 40+ students from diverse backgrounds learn about their passions and strengths and develop new skills as public speakers, teachers, researchers, and leaders. Develops curriculum for Explorers Program focused on college readiness, professional development, and life-skills . Supervise and support camp staff. This individual must have a commitment to working in a team-based environment that values innovation, creative learning, risk taking, and experimentation. Ensure an ongoing and productive conversation with a diverse and growing audience.
Work Schedule:
This position is a full-time onsite position, required to work onsite 5 days per week. During camp, it is required to work onsite at least 5 days a week. The schedule for this role is Tuesday - Saturday.
