Job summary

Capital Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is seeking a VMI Specialist to enhance inventory availability at customer sites across the mid-Atlantic region. You will coordinate vendor managed inventory, perform replenishment, and work closely with inside and outside sales teams.

The role requires lifting 50+ lbs, willingness to travel 2+ hours, and independent, self-motivated work in varying weather conditions. Eclipse order entry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer site inventory and replenishment to maximize product availability.
• Interact with Capital Electric’s inside and outside sales teams and customer personnel.
• Communicate with multiple departments (sales, purchasing, inventory control, logistics, credit).

A VMI Specialist coordinates vendor managed inventory and control activities at the customer site locations. They seek to maximize customer service, satisfaction, and ultimately the availability of Capital Electric products at the point of purchase / warehouse, and add value to the business through speed of service (efficiency) and relationship management (growth).

The VMI specialist is responsible for conducting customer site inventory, and replenishment of material while excelling in customer service. The VMI Specialist is required to communicate with customer personnel as well as with Capital Electric’s inside and outside sales team. This role requires the ability to work effectively with Eclipse, and with bar code scanning hardware and software. The VMI specialist must interact with many different departments within Capital Electric including: sales, purchasing, inventory control, logistic and credit.

Salary Range: $25-$30 per hour
