Job summary

Vitro Architectural Glass seeks a seasoned Manager for its Value Added Products department to oversee 24-hour operations in the Coating area. You will manage personnel, equipment, materials, utilities, and budget to meet safety, environmental, quality, labor, and expense goals.

Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives, driving quality programs, managing budgets, guiding engineering and maintenance, and developing staff through training and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 6–10 years of strong technical experience in glass manufacturing technology.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment with exposure to various physical conditions.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to dust, moving vehicles, heavy equipment, chemicals, high temperatures, and noise.
• On-call 24 hours, with frequent after-hours and weekend work.
• 5%-10% travel required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 25 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and work in both cold and hot environments.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs.
