Job summary

Brooks Sports Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Manager, US Sales to drive footwear, apparel and accessories revenue across assigned accounts. You will set sales goals, budgets and travel to key accounts, trade shows, and events while leading a team of sales reps and coordinating with marketing.

The role requires 7+ years of footwear/apparel sales, 3+ years of management, strong P&L and retail math skills, and the ability to travel up to 50%. Base pay range is 126,670–202,714 USD per year.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7+ years of footwear and apparel sales experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Strong ability to analyze and understand a retailer’s P&L including full understanding of retail planning cycle and retail math.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • General computer proficiency with Office products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Brooks’ business with sales reps and accounts within your designated territory, including traveling and building strong relationships between reps and external stakeholders.
  • Develop strategic sales forecasts, product sales plans, and annual revenue goals for each assigned account.
  • Develop strategic sales programs that drive sell-thru at retail and position Brooks as the leader in performance running, including grass roots events.
  • Partner with sales reps on seasonal sell-in presentations to ensure backlog growth and increase market share at all key accounts.
  • Work closely with the Retail Marketing team to develop seasonal grass roots marketing programs, including in-store promotions and expos.
  • Serve as the primary communication source for Brooks Sports Inc. with reps and customers across your designated territory.
  • Support Sales Leadership across additional seasonal initiatives and special projects.
  • Lead all seasonal sell in presentations to insure backlog growth and increased market share at all key accounts for both footwear and apparel.
  • Provide field feedback on competitor products, programs, and services, as well as marketplace activities.
  • Attend and coordinate designated seasonal business meetings including sales meetings and trade shows.
  • Manage and develop direct reports to ensure job satisfaction and retention.

Your Job

As the Manager, US Sales, you will be responsible for footwear, apparel and accessories sales revenue across a specific channel or territory. You will contribute to the establishment of sales goals, strategies, and budgets relative to accounts within the territory. You will also oversee management of Sales Reps in achieving sales goals, as well as working with the marketing team on establishing and executing marketing plans for your designated accounts in the channel or territory. You will also travel regularly throughout the territory and/or to key accounts, as well as trade shows and expos, to achieve sales goals.

  • Lead all seasonal sell in presentations to insure backlog growth and increased market share at all key accounts for both footwear and apparel

  • Provide field feedback on competitor products, programs, and services, as well as marketplace activities
  • Attend, coordinate and participate across designated seasonal business meetings including sales meeting, trade shows, key account meetings.
  • Manage (including goal setting, performance review, hiring decisions, team culture, etc.) and support the career development of direct reports to ensure job satisfaction, retention and to identify and develop bench strength
  • Own decisions related to day-to-day employee career, training, performance, etc. and provide recommendations to insert department leadership on employee decisions such as compensation, promotions, hiring/termination

Compensation

The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is 126,670 - $202,714 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
