The MARS will focus on government payers (such as Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and Veterans Affairs) and commercial payers, executing company goals. The role involves driving payer strategy to secure coverage and reimbursement for Smith & Nephew AWM products, managing an assigned region, and building a positive reputation within the payer community.

  4. Research and report on coding, coverage, and reimbursement trends. Communicate reimbursement issues impacting wound care and develop landscape presentations. Provide strategic recommendations based on reimbursement environment and understand CMS rulemaking for policy development opportunities.
  5. Work with US Market Access, marketing, and sales to develop reimbursement tools and resources, informing internal and external stakeholders on reimbursement landscape.
What will you need to be successful?
  1. Education: 4-year college degree in business, healthcare administration, health sciences, health economics, or related field.
  2. Experience: 5-7 years in reimbursement, market access, or health economics within medical device or healthcare sectors; 4-6 years in a reimbursement or market access role.
  3. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to analyze payer gaps and develop strategies.
  4. Travel Requirements: 20-50%

The anticipated base salary range is $100,000 - $140,000 USD annually, with eligibility for commissions, incentives, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and wellness programs. Actual salary depends on factors like experience, location, and internal equity.
