GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead on-site management of a customer account and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

You will serve as the primary customer contact on initiatives and critical issues, leveraging industry tools to develop and grow your career. The role requires 4 years in transportation, strong supply chain knowledge, and the ability to travel occasionally.

• 4 years of transportation experience
• In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry
• Familiar with using devices for extended periods to manage operations
• Willingness to travel occasionally

Responsabilidades

• Maintain responsibility for the overall P&L to meet budgets and forecasts
• Ensure effective communication with company drivers and relationships with drivers
• Oversee tractor maintenance, compliance and service delivery
• Track on-time pickup/delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles
• Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets fleet goals
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and implement solutions
• Investigate root causes of service failures and apply corrective actions
• Develop and modify policies to meet customer service requirements
• Maintain a safe work environment and resolve employee relations issues
• Ensure annual profit, efficiency and quality goals at client engagements
• Direct capital expenditure and asset deployment activities

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Maintain responsibility for the overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts
• Ensure the effectiveness of the operation's communication, interaction and relationship with company drivers
• Oversee the management of tractor maintenance, compliance and service delivery
• Track operational performance, including on-time pickup and delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles
• Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets established fleet size goals
• Identify opportunities to increase performance, improve processes and find efficiencies, and coordinate with leaders to implement solutions
• Investigate and determine the root cause of all service failures; implement corrective actions whenever necessary
• Develop and modify operational policies and procedures to meet customer service requirements on both new and existing processes
• Maintain a safe work environment and foster a positive team dynamic, resolving employee relations issues and administering corrective action as required
• Ensure annual profit, efficiency and quality goals are attained at each client engagement
• Direct capital expenditure and asset deployment activities

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 4 years of transportation experience
• In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry
• Use computers, tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices for extended periods to manage transportation operations, monitor performance metrics, communicate with customers and employees, and complete administrative tasks.
• Availability to travel occasionally

It'd be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree
• Project management skills and experience
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, mentoring and influencing employees
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience as a collaborative, innovative and strategic thinker
• Solid customer relationship management skills

This job requires the ability to:

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 25 lbs.
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
