Description
Reporting organisationally to the Senior Manager, Transport Integration, the Manager, Transport Mobility will be a key member of the FIFA26 Event Transportation team. They will work closely with the Operational Services team and other key stakeholders responsible for delivering all Host City Transportation operations, including the Tournament Route Network, Tournament Bus System, and Bus/Metro/Tram Systems.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities of the Manager, Transport Mobility for FIFA World Cup 26 include:
- Integrating with all functions within Event Transport.
- Supporting the transport mapping process, including developing Bus/Metro/Tram System maps in collaboration with FIFA 26 projects.
- Collaborating with Host City authorities to develop operational plans for all transport systems and hubs, ensuring they meet FIFA requirements.
- Working with Host City transport teams to develop pedestrian routes, manage road closures, and optimize vehicle and pedestrian flow.
- Supporting schedule and route planning to align with FIFA26 transport needs.
- Coordinating with FIFA Functional Areas and transport systems to ensure alignment with overall event strategies.
- Working with Last Mile teams, FIFA Spectator Services, and venue stakeholders to optimize access and egress strategies.
- Supporting the delivery of transport operations during test events before FIFA World Cup 26.
- Reviewing and preparing reports, briefings, and presentations related to spectator flow and public transport planning.
- Conducting site visits to venues and facilities to observe and assess transport features and operations.
- Performing other duties as required.
YOUR PROFILE
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Transport, Project Management, Event Management, Major Sporting Events, or related fields.
- An advanced degree (Master’s) is a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience in transport, ideally within sports or major events.
- Experience managing transport at international mega-events such as FIFA World Cup, Olympics, or regional tournaments.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, multi-functional event environments.
- Leadership experience in managing teams and projects.
- Ability to collaborate with public and private partners and build strong relationships.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and excellent in communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, with strong leadership qualities.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle ambiguity and change.
