Job summary

DSV Inventory Management Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Manager, Training to design, implement and continuously improve training programs and quality systems across our logistics organization.

The role partners with Operations and business leaders to drive performance and foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. The candidate will lead the Training & Quality team, develop SOPs and training materials, and monitor KPIs to ensure compliance and superior service.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or related field.
  • 7–10 years in training, quality or operations excellence in logistics.
  • 3–5 years of leadership of teams and projects.
  • Experience designing competency-based learning programs and quality management systems.
  • Proven track record driving operational improvements and capability development.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, facilitation and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication; detail-oriented and analytical.
  • Proficient with SOPs, audits, KPIs, and LMS/WMS/TMS tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute training and quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and evaluate onboarding, operational and refresher training for warehouse, transportation, customer service, and support teams.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, manuals, work instructions and quality documentation.
  • Establish quality standards, audits, scorecards and compliance processes.
  • Conduct audits, process observations and root cause analyses with improvement recommendations.
  • Analyze quality and training metrics and report to Operations leadership.
  • Identify training needs from performance data, audits and business requirements.
  • Deliver coaching and performance improvement initiatives for operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen improvements and continuous learning.
  • Maintain training records, certifications and learning documentation.
  • Lead and mentor the Training & Quality team; collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Prepare periodic reports on training effectiveness and quality performance for senior management.

Summary

The Manager, Training & Quality is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving training programs and quality management systems across the logistics organization. This role ensures employees are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools required to deliver operational excellence, maintain compliance with company standards, and achieve superior customer service. The position partners with Operations and business leaders to drive performance improvement initiatives, monitor quality metrics, and foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.


Duties and Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute the organization's training and quality strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Design, implement, and evaluate onboarding, operational, and refresher training programs for


warehouse, transportation, customer service, and support teams.



  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), training manuals, work instructions, and quality documentation.

  • Establish quality standards, audit processes, and performance scorecards to ensure operational compliance.

  • Conduct regular quality audits, process observations, and root cause analyses to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Analyze quality and training effectiveness metrics and provide actionable recommendations to Operations leadership.

  • Identify operational training needs through performance data, audits, process reviews, and business requirements.

  • Deliver coaching and performance improvement initiatives for operational teams and supervisors.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, regulatory standards, and safety guidelines.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar quality improvement methodologies.

  • Monitor customer feedback, service levels, operational KPIs, and quality trends to improve overall performance.

  • Manage training records, certifications, compliance tracking, and learning documentation.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Training & Quality team while promoting a high-performance culture.

  • Prepare and present periodic reports on training effectiveness, quality performance, compliance, and improvement initiatives to senior management.

  • Collaborate with Operations and other business functions to support new customer implementations, process changes, and operational improvement initiatives.


Educational Background / Work Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Master's degree or professional certifications in Quality Management, Lean Six Sigma, Training & Development, or Supply Chain are preferred.

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in Training, Quality Assurance, Operations Excellence, or Learning & Development within the logistics, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, or distribution industry.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams and operational projects.

  • Experience in designing competency-based learning programs and implementing quality management systems.

  • Proven track record of driving operational improvements and employee capability development.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and facilitation abilities.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms.

  • Comfortable using virtual collaboration and online training platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

For this position, the expected base pay range is $82,560 – $103,200 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
