Job summary

DSV - Global transport and logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate day-to-day transportation and logistics activities. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient processes across the supply chain.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics or related field and at least five years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with preference for freight forwarding exposure.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management is required. Experience in freight forwarding is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, plus excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure.

Summary

TheOperationManager willbe responsible foroverseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the transportation andlogisticsdepartment. This role will involve working closely with other departments within the company, as well as external partners and suppliers, to ensure efficient and effective transportation andlogisticsprocesses are in place.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the transportation andlogisticsdepartment's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently
  • Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met
  • Develop and implement transportation andlogisticsstrategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services
  • Monitor transportation andlogisticsperformance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
  • Conduct regular audits of transportation andlogisticsprocesses to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on transportation andlogisticsactivities to management

Educational background / Work experience

A bachelor's degree in transportation andlogistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation andlogisticsmanagement isrequired. Experience in the freightforwardingindustry is preferred.

Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite isrequired.

Experience with transportation management software (TMS) is preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay range is$82,560.00 – $123,840.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
