What You Will Do

The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. It offers hands-on training across store operations with the goal of promotion to management. Within 6-12 months, you may be promoted (performance and availability dependent), leading to up to a 40% pay increase. Many progress to General Manager roles within 3-4 years. Manager Trainees must complete the training plan and be willing to relocate for a management position.

No experience is required; just dedication and willingness to learn! The structured training includes classroom, online, and hands-on learning in areas such as:

• Sales and Customer Service
• Store Operations and Inventory Management
• Blueprint Reading and Estimation
• Forklift Operation and Certification
• Business Management
• Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Work both indoors and outdoors, assisting customers in all weather conditions. Requires standing, walking, lifting up to 80 pounds, and working around machinery and airborne particles.
