Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our Des Moines branch. You will learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

This role offers structured training with real-world experience and a path to promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. Compensation starts at $17.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth at a leading car rental company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and identifying needs.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by guiding customers through the rental process and resolving questions professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle prep, lot organization, documentation and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, and performance coaching.
