Hertz Local Edition in Iowa City, IA is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our rental branch team. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

This program is designed for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to grow into leadership. With structured training and real-world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months while gaining exposure

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
