Hertz Local Edition in Louisville, KY is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our branch team. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations.

This program offers structured training and real-world experience with a clear path to promotion to Branch Manager in 12–18 months, preparing you for leadership responsibilities within Hertz.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and eager to learn the business.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships and identifying needs.
• Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the rental process and resolve questions professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle prep, lot organization, documentation and compliance.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, communication, and performance coaching.
• Build skills to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
