Join to apply for the MANAGER TRAINEE role at AutoZone.

The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role providing work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management. Progression to a management position may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.

Responsibilities

An MIT is part of the management team, expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT will lead the store team through strong leadership and initiative, supporting overall store operations including:

• Retail/Commercial management, supervision, and policy implementation
• Financial management, including analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements
• Employee staffing, training, and development
• Inventory management
• Customer service leadership

MITs will complete operations and management training, learning about key business aspects and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression are necessary to remain in the program and be considered for management roles.

Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and available openings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Automotive experience and financial analysis experience are preferred but not required
