The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to a management role within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will maintain an engaged, productive team through strong leadership and initiative.
The MIT supports the Store Manager in:
MITs will complete operations and management training, learn about key business aspects, and uphold AutoZone culture. Progression in the program is performance-dependent and does not guarantee promotion.
