The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to a management role within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.

Responsibilities

An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT will lead by example to maintain an engaged, productive team and support store operations, including:

• Overall store retail and commercial management, supervision, and policy implementation
• Financial management—manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements
• Employee staffing, training, and development
• Inventory management
• Customer service leadership

MITs must complete operations and management training, learn about key business aspects, and demonstrate progression to remain in the program. Promotion to management depends on performance and availability of openings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Ability to work full-time with flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime
• Bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Automotive experience and financial analysis experience are preferred but not required
