The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management typically occurs within 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT maintains an engaged, productive team through leadership and initiative.
The MIT supports the Store Manager in:
MITs complete operations and management training, learning about key business aspects and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression are monitored throughout the program.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and openings.
