The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role offering work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to management roles within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is part of the management team, expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the Store Manager's supervision, the MIT maintains an engaged team through strong leadership and initiative.
MITs must complete operational and management training, learn about AutoZone culture, and demonstrate progression to remain in the program.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and opportunities.
