The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to management roles within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.
An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead by example to maintain an engaged, productive team. Responsibilities include:
MITs will complete operations and management training, learning about key business aspects and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression through training are essential for continued consideration for management openings.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management needs.
