Job summary

Hertz Local Edition in League City, TX is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration. You’ll work toward promotion to Branch Manager within 12–18 months, gaining leadership skills, performance coaching, scheduling, and customer relations experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Compensation starts at $16.00 per hour plus benefits such as PTO, medical plans, and retirement

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.

Hertz Local Edition is hiring a Manager Trainee to join our local rental branch team. In this hands‑on role, you’ll learn how to run a successful rental location while delivering a great customer experience and supporting daily branch operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who is motivated, customer‑focused, and interested in growing into a leadership role. With structured training and real‑world experience, you’ll prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months.

What We’re Looking For
