Hertz Local Edition is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our Sugar Land branch. You’ll learn to run a successful rental location while delivering an outstanding customer experience and supporting daily operations.

This program offers structured training and real‑world experience with promotion potential to Branch Manager in 12–18 months. Wage starts at $16.00 per hour plus incentives, with eligibility for benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 20+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Customer service, sales, retail or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable with leadership growth interest.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, service, operations, fleet logistics, and admin.
• Support branch sales goals by building relationships and identifying customer needs.
• Deliver a positive customer experience and resolve questions or concerns.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle prep, lot organization, docs, and compliance.
• Partner with leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and metrics.
• Build skills to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.

What You’ll Do
