The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role offering work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management within approximately 8-12 weeks is possible, depending on prior experience and performance.
An MIT is part of the management team, expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead a store team through strong leadership and initiative. Responsibilities include:
MITs are responsible for completing operations and management training, learning about the business and AutoZone culture. Performance and progression are key to remaining in the program and being considered for management openings.
Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance and management openings.
