The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training opportunities to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Entry into the program may lead to management positions within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the management team, live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance.
• Support the Store Manager in overall store operations, including management, supervision, policy implementation, financial management, staffing, training, inventory, and customer service.
• Complete operations and management skills training, and learn about AutoZone culture.

Performance and progression through training are essential for continued consideration for management roles.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Automotive experience and financial analysis skills are a plus but not mandatory.
