The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role designed to prepare individuals for management positions within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance. The role involves supporting store operations, leading teams, and completing training in management skills and AutoZone culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage financials, including analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements
• Oversee employee staffing, training, and development
• Manage inventory and customer service operations

MITs are expected to demonstrate leadership, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain satisfactory performance to progress in the program. Promotion to management roles depends on performance and availability.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience
• Flexible full-time schedule including weekends and overtime
• Bilingual preferred; automotive experience and financial analysis skills are a plus but not required
