The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role offering work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management. Progression to management typically occurs within 8-12 weeks, depending on prior experience and performance.

Responsibilities

• Be a member of the management team, live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance.
• Support the Store Manager in store operations including retail management, supervision, and policy enforcement.
• Manage financials, including analyzing and reconciling monthly P&L statements.
• Oversee employee staffing, training, and development.
• Manage inventory and lead customer service efforts.

MITs are responsible for completing training, learning about the business and culture, and demonstrating performance to remain in the program and be considered for management roles. Promotion depends on performance and management openings.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
• Automotive experience and financial analysis skills are preferred but not required.
