Job summary

The Hertz Corporation is hiring a Manager Trainee at our Clarksville, TN location to develop leadership skills and prepare for a Branch Manager role in 12–18 months. You will rotate through sales, operations, fleet management and finance tasks while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be 20+ years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and develop leadership skills.
• Experience in a professional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Service: Support achievement of location sales goals.
• Deliver excellent customer experience to contribute to high customer service scores.
• Learn and apply sales techniques and CRM best practices.
• Operations & Fleet Management: Gain hands-on experience in fleet logistics and inventory control.
• Assist with store operations and compliance.
• Vehicle & Facility Care: Support team with tasks including cleaning and preparing vehicles, lot management, and customer service assistance.
• Finance & Administration: Learn finance processes and support deal completion.
• Understand reporting, documentation, and business metrics.
• Leadership Development: Shadow and support management in daily operations.
• Build skills in team leadership, scheduling, and performance coaching.
• Prepare for future leadership roles through structured training.

We’re hiring a Manager Trainee to support location performance, develop leadership skills, and prepare for promotion to Branch Manager in as little as 12–18 months. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn all aspects of our business.

The starting wage for this position is $19.00 per hour

What You’ll Do:
