Hertz Local Edition in Catonsville, MD is seeking a Manager Trainee to join our rental branch team. In this hands-on role, you will learn to run a successful rental location while delivering excellent customer experiences and supporting daily operations.

This structured program provides real-world training with the goal of promoting you to Branch Manager within 12–18 months, based on performance and readiness. Entry is welcome with a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Customer service, sales, retail, hospitality, or other professional experience preferred.
• Strong communication, computer, multitasking, and time management skills.
• A self-motivated, adaptable approach with an interest in learning the business and growing into leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
• Professional appearance and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rental car business through hands-on training in sales, customer service, operations, fleet logistics, and administration.
• Support branch sales goals by building customer relationships, identifying customer needs, and applying effective sales techniques.
• Deliver a positive customer experience by helping customers through the rental process and resolving questions or concerns professionally.
• Assist with daily branch operations, including fleet inventory, vehicle preparation, lot organization, documentation, and compliance tasks.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand scheduling, team communication, performance coaching, and business metrics.
• Build the skills needed to grow into future leadership opportunities within Hertz.
