About The Lansing Lugnuts

The Lansing Lugnuts, High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, offer exciting baseball and a strong community connection at Jackson Field. Known for their fan-focused atmosphere and innovative events, the Lugnuts are a staple of the Lansing sports scene. The Lansing Lugnuts are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.

Position Overview

The Lansing Lugnuts are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, results-oriented sales professional to build the ticketing strategy from the ground up, aiming to surpass short-term and long-term ticket revenue, attendance, and retention goals. The Manager, Ticket Sales will report to and collaborate with the Director, Ticket Sales.

Essential Duties And Primary Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for new season ticket sales, individual and packaged suites/hospitality, and group events to various groups with an emphasis on maximizing revenue.
  2. Meet and exceed established weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
  3. Implement outbound sales efforts using best practices, including prospecting, networking, lead generation, and data management.
  4. Conduct a minimum number of face-to-face meetings weekly to generate new business opportunities.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to clients, season ticket holders, and fans.
  6. Create and implement innovative sales strategies and programs.
  7. Contribute positively to the sales team culture and participate in meetings and training.
  8. Model professionalism, positivity, and work ethic.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum two years of outbound sport sales experience.
  2. Minimum one year of management experience.
  3. Personable, hardworking, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
  4. Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Community engagement through networking and relationship building.
  6. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  8. Willingness to visit clients during games and conduct seat tours.
  9. Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  10. Three business references upon request.
