Job summary

Deloitte Belfast, Technology Sourcing and Commercial Management, seeks experts to lead complex technology sourcing programs across software, cloud and managed services. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams with senior stakeholders to deliver measurable value and drive governance across engagements.

You will define sourcing strategies, negotiate favorable terms, and support cost optimization while upholding Deloitte’s collaborative culture and hybrid working model.

Qualifications

• Sourcing and Procurement background with experience in technology projects.
• Experience leading complex technology sourcing or procurement projects from strategy through contract award.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies for technology services, software, cloud, infrastructure or managed services.
• Experience managing RFI, RFP, Competitive Dialogue, Competitive Procedure with Negotiation or equivalent complex procurement processes.
• Experience supporting commercial negotiations with technology suppliers resulting in measurable client benefits.
• Understanding of key technology contracting principles including service levels, service credits, benchmarking, change control and exit provisions.
• Ability to develop business cases, commercial models and cost reduction opportunities.
• Experience managing workstreams or projects involving multiple stakeholders, suppliers and dependencies.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders and presenting recommendations to programme boards, executive teams or equivalent governance bodies.
• Experience working within UK or Irish public sector procurement regulations.
• Professional qualifications such as CIPS, CCS accreditation or equivalent

Your team: Technology, Strategy & Transformation - Technology Sourcing and Commercial Management

This role fits within our Technology Sourcing and Commercial Management team - a key competency within our Technology, Strategy & Transformation service area and an enabler to our strategic client and industry propositions. We work collaboratively with our clients to optimise the value they derive from technology by providing deep skills and expertise in the design, sourcing, transition, management and governance of technology Supply Chains.

Technology Sourcing and Procurement is part of our Technology Sourcing and Commercial Management Offering which helps Technology leaders manage complex cost bases and ecosystems of suppliers.

Some of your responsibilities in this role include:

• Designing and delivering programme(s) to realise the need to manage vendors & alliances, data, integrations and tooling & solutions
• Defining and delivering sourcing strategy which includes re-structuring large supplier deals and negotiating to meet client objectives
• Defining how a client can utilise the 3rd party supply market to deliver speed and value to the business
• Helping clients define and source the necessary skills and competencies for the future including upskilling, partnering, in-source or collaborate
• Defining and managing strategy to transition a client safely from one provider(s) to another
• Defining and deliver commercial management and cost reduction services for clients
• Supporting business and practice development activities relating to our growing Sourcing Advisory capability
• Acting as a subject matter expert within Deloitte - supporting our UK Global capability with your knowledge and experience

Our ideal candidate would have a Sourcing and Procurement background and experience in technology projects. This experience could be consulting or working within the public sector or private sector. You will work as part of a team of technology specialists who will see you as a growing expert in delivering creative solutions to solving our clients' problems.

You will be able to demonstrate capability and experience in the following:
