Sony Engagement Platform Services (SEPS) seeks a Manager of Technical Program Management to lead a high-performing TPM team. You will drive end-to-end program execution, partner with executive leadership, and coordinate cross-functional engineers, product managers, and business users across Sony’s entertainment ecosystem.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, governance, and scalable delivery in a distributed environment, with close collaboration across global teams and partners.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software development.
• At least 2 years of people management of Technical Program Managers.
• Able to manage, mentor, and empower a team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-team programs with cross-team dependencies from concept through deployment.
• Prior experience working as a Scrum Master, with Agile ceremonies and team execution practices.
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and system architecture concepts.
• Strong communication, cross-group collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to balance priorities across multiple programs and drive alignment across stakeholders.
• Ability to advise and influence technical discussions and decisions.
• Experience with Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban) emphasizing continuous improvement.
• Experience working with globally distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience improving or scaling program management processes, tooling, or team workflows is a plus

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Technical Program Management, the Manager, Technical Program Management will lead a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers responsible for driving Engineering Programs.

The Manager, Technical Program Management will oversee end-to-end program execution, fostering a productive and collaborative environment that scales team capabilities and drives operational excellence. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless platform integration across Sony operating companies, while partnering closely with executive leadership on planning, strategic initiatives, and communications. The position requires close collaboration with global stakeholders, including business users, product managers, and cross-functional technical teams.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

• Overall experience of at least 6 years in the software development industry
• At least 2 years of people management experience, with experience managing a team of Technical Program Managers or program leads
• Able to manage, mentor, and empower a team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-team programs with cross-team dependencies from concept through deployment
• Prior experience working as a Scrum Master, with a solid understanding of Agile ceremonies and team execution practices
• Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and general system architecture concepts, sufficient to partner effectively with engineering teams
• Strong communication, cross-group collaboration, and interpersonal skills. The ability to flex communication style to work with business and non-technical users in addition to engineers
• Ability to balance priorities across multiple programs and drive alignment across stakeholders
• Ability to advise and influence technical discussions and decisions
• Experience with Agile development practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) emphasizing continuous improvement
