Job description

Overview

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Manager, Technical Operations to join our team. As a Manager, Technical Operations, you will be responsible for managing the technical operations of multiple centers, which includes planning, team member management, budget management, maintaining relationships with referring groups, and on-going customer service functions. This position is responsible for meeting the quality and operational goals (i.e. efficiency, productivity, costs, etc.) for their assigned center(s).

This is a full-time position with travel within the Milwaukee market, typically Wauwatosa, Menomonee Falls, Mequon and West Bend.

Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Center Operations: Remain visible at Centers and understands the Center's team member engagement level and workload
  • Center Operations: Implement programs, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound Operation
  • Center Operations: Analyze the operations of assigned centers as related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies, and recommends and implements solutions and changes
  • Center Operations: Develop and manage the budget for the technical operations(s) and recommends financial decisions for the Center
  • Center Operations: Monitor the performance and profitability of services offered
  • Center Operations: Provide ongoing and timely communication to management and team members regarding Center performance, team member performance, events, issues, etc.
  • Center Operations: In partnership with the Manager, Administrative Operations on Market initiatives and on-going Operations
  • Center Operations: Interface with Radiologists to create and maintain up-to-date protocol manuals for all modalities
  • Center Operations: Maintains productive relationships with center's customer base in defined market through delivery of extraordinary customer service
  • Center Operations: Attends sales calls and lunch meetings with the sales team, providing operations knowledge
  • Center Operations: Administers quality programs and meets or exceeds key quality and productivity measures in patient service, customer (referral) service, clinical programs, and administrative functions
  • Center Operations: Maintains a safe environment for patients, technologists, radiologists and any other center team members with the assistance of the center safety coordinator
  • Center Operations: Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines
  • Team Member Management: Oversee and assist with the training of new team members and supervisors, providing resource and technical expertise
  • Team Member Management: Participate in team member performance management and evaluations, compensation recommendations and development
  • Team Member Management: Develops coaches and provides training opportunities for all direct reports based on assessment of individual needs to ensure critical leadership development
  • Team Member Management: Leads regular team meetings and team member one-on-one discussions
  • Team Member Management: Supports and conducts training efforts for continuing education for the technologists and nurses
  • Team Member Management: Ensures all technologists are compliant with CEU (continuing education) credits, in good standing with appropriate registries, updated with CPR credits, etc.
  • Team Member Management: Implement strategies to promote teamwork within the Center and Market
  • Team Member Management: Collaborate with Chief Technologists to build high performing and engaged teams
  • Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology, registered nursing, or a Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited sonography program, or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), or another closely related and applicable healthcare/medical field
  • ARRT Radiologic Technologist Certification, RN Licensure, or registered American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) sonographer, current and in good standing
  • Sonography certification in imaging specialty (AB, BR, ObGyn, etc.)
  • Five (5) years' related medical experience
  • Three (3) years' experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
  • Some travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related and applicable healthcare/medical field
  • Sonography certification as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT/VT)
  • Five (5) years' experience with medical out-patient radiology imaging
