Job summary

WM in the United States is seeking a compliance-focused professional to provide regulatory guidance and oversight to ensure facility permits and regulatory requirements are met. You will coordinate with sales, approvals, customer service, and operations, organize resources, and liaise with agencies on permit conditions.

The role includes developing and maintaining compliance systems, reviewing reports, supporting budgeting, coaching staff, and ensuring timely submittals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 7 years of prior work experience (in addition to education requirement).

Responsibilities

  • Provides regulatory and technical guidance to sales, approvals, customer service, and operations personnel.
  • Organizes and schedules all necessary resources required to accomplish activities.
  • Works with regulatory agencies to obtain reasonable permit conditions and other requirements.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains systems to support and monitor compliance and minimize risk.
  • Reviews and signs environmental and other reports and project submittals.
  • Reviews all waste approvals and provides second signature authorization.
  • Provides technical assistance to operations to improve existing or develop new treatment methods; develops and maintains written documents and/or plans.
  • Maintains a technical communication network amongst coordinators, and participates in community outreach efforts.
  • Oversees personnel needs including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating performance.
  • Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.

  • Submits reasonable budget information and analyzes data versus year-to-date data and prior year budget.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this on-site position is $95,700 - $121,990 per year. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
