Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Manager, Taxes and Insurance to oversee day-to-day and period tax and insurance activities across multiple states. This role partners with external firms to ensure accurate reporting and compliance, while safeguarding confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.

You will supervise one full-time and one part-time associate, prioritize deadlines, and drive process improvements in tax planning and regulatory reporting. A CPA and strong GAAP knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration, Insurance and/or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience with Multi-State and Federal taxes, multi-state business insurance, and contract administration.
• CPA certification preferred and tax experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access & Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily banking activities and tax compliance for multiple taxing states and jurisdictions.
• Assist outside tax advisors with year-end tax reporting (including 1099’s).
• Maintain current knowledge base for laws pertaining to Federal and State taxes and insurance.
• Manage and renew permits, licenses, and insurance certificates; report litigation as needed.
• Supervise one full-time and one part-time associate and drive process improvements.
