Job summary

Winebow is seeking a Tax Manager to oversee the company’s tax filings, policies, and related planning. You'll coordinate with external CPAs on quarterly payments and tax returns while leading tax audits and staying ahead of regulatory changes.

The role requires 5+ years in tax with CPA or MST, strong U.S. federal/state tax knowledge, and excellent cross-functional collaboration. A strategic coach will guide a small tax team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation is required.
  • CPA or MST designation is required or preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax filings and compliance.
  • Experience with multi-state excise tax filings.
  • Experience with corporate tax compliance and income tax provision.
  • Strong knowledge of US federal and state tax laws.
  • Experience in tax research & documentation.
  • Experience leading tax audits and liaising with authorities.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file regular excise, sales & use, property tax and unclaimed property filings.
  • Oversee annual ASC 740 income tax reporting, including footnotes and disclosures.
  • Coordinate with external CPA firms for quarterly estimated tax payments.
  • Manage Federal and state income tax returns with external CPA firm.
  • Lead all aspects of tax audits and interactions with taxing authorities.
  • Monitor regulatory tax developments and implications for the company.
  • Collaborate across corporate teams to align tax strategy with business goals.
  • Coach and develop a small tax team and manage workload effectively.
  • Develop and implement policies to improve tax reporting efficiency.

In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.Job Summary:Manage and oversee the Company’s multiple tax filings, corporate policies and tax related objectives. Monitor reporting and planning to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state tax statutes and generally accepted accounting principles.Essential Functions:Preparation and filing of regular excise, sales & use, property tax and unclaimed property filings.Responsible for annual ASC 740 income tax reporting, income tax footnotes and disclosures for annual audited consolidated financial statements.Work with external CPA firm to prepare quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments for all consolidating companies.Manage and review completion of Federal and state income tax returns with external CPA firm.Lead all aspects of tax audits and coordination with taxing authorities.Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments.Collaborate across corporate functional teams and external service providers.Communicate effectively at all levels to align tax strategy with business objectives and priorities, making complex tax concepts meaningful and useful to non-tax personnel.Coach and develop small tax team.
