Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Tax Manager to lead U.S. federal, state, and local tax compliance and tax provision processes. You will work cross-functionally with finance, accounting, legal, operations, and external advisors to ensure timely filings and accurate tax reporting.

The role requires hands-on data gathering, Big 4 experience, CPA designation, and strong knowledge of manufacturing/CPG tax environments. Florida location with potential for process improvements and automation.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax.
  • Strong experience with U.S. federal and state income tax compliance.
  • Experience with sales and use tax, property tax, and exemption certificate management.
  • Experience supporting tax provisions and tax reporting.
  • Experience with transfer pricing calculations.
  • Hands-on experience gathering, reviewing, and analyzing tax-related data.
  • Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large national/regional firm (e.g., Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, EY).
  • Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or other businesses that sell tangible goods.
  • CPA designation.
  • Exposure to international tax.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with external advisors to manage and coordinate the preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns, including data gathering and schedules.
  • Prepare and coordinate gross receipts, sales and use, and property tax filings, including exemption certificate management.
  • Continuously analyze and document filing positions for income, franchise, gross receipts, sales and use, and property tax filings.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions (under IFRS), including current and deferred tax calculations.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and reconciliations for tax accounts.
  • Collaborate with accounting and FP&A teams to ensure accurate financial reporting of tax-related items.
  • Support audits by external auditors related to tax provisions.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual transfer pricing calculations in accordance with the Company's global transfer pricing policies.
  • As needed, partner with external advisors to assist in the preparation of annual transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, CBCR and pillar 2 calculations.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies, automation opportunities, and internal controls related to tax compliance and provision processes.

Job Description

The Manager, Tax is responsible for managing the company's U.S. tax compliance and supporting tax provision processes. This role works cross-functionally with finance, accounting, legal, operations, and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely preparation of U.S. federal, state, and local tax filings, including income, franchise, gross receipts, sales and use, and property taxes. The Tax Manager also plays a key role in supporting quarterly and annual income tax provisions, computing quarterly and annual transfer pricing adjustments and driving process improvements. This role requires a desire to be hands‑on in the data gathering process. The ideal candidate will bring new ideas to streamline existing processes and take over data gathering from existing non-tax stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with external advisors to manage and coordinate the preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns, including performing data gathering, and preparing/reviewing returns, supporting schedules and workpapers.
  • Prepare and coordinate gross receipts, sales and use and property tax filings, including exemption certificate management.

Skills and Requirements

  • Experience supporting tax provisions and tax reporting.
  • Experience with transfer pricing calculations.
  • Hands-on experience gathering, reviewing, and analyzing tax-related data.
  • Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or large national/regional firm (e.g., BDO, Wiser Accounting, etc.)
  • Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or other businesses that sell tangible goods.
  • CPA designation.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
  • International tax exposure.
