The Surgical Services Manager (SSM) ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, and cost-effective perioperative care by competent staff. They optimize resource utilization to meet productivity and financial targets, collaborating with administration, physicians, and staff to enhance communication and improve processes across the continuum. The SSM actively manages patient flow and bed management issues in partnership with the Staffing Office. They inspire shared vision, promote change, and model professional standards through positive leadership, mentorship, and recognition. The role involves holding care providers accountable for professional responsibilities and regulatory adherence, aligning actions with the organization’s Mission, Values, and Standards.
