Ryder System, Inc. in Etna, Ohio is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead to supervise daily distribution operations, coach a fast-paced team, and ensure safety and accuracy in receiving, picking, packing and shipping.

This role offers weekly pay, $18.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential, excellent benefits, paid training, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and growth opportunities in a team-focused supply chain culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience with RF scanner required.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement for operational efficiency.
• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members.
• Inspire and guide team toward improved KPI performance using leadership styles.
• Assist with promoting health and safety practices in the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, bills of lading, etc.).
• Submit daily reports and propose actions to enhance operations and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay $18.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour shift differential
• Schedule:Sunday – Thursday, 3:30 pm-12:00 am, with occasional overtime when available

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize and distribute daily work duties to members to ensure optimal shift/team operational logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
