Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Manager Supply Chain Programs 2 to lead the Global Supply Chain Planning team for Triton Sustainment. The role is onsite in San Diego and requires cross-functional leadership across GSC, Program Management, Engineering, and Mission Assurance to drive end-to-end supply chain initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years in supply chain management, program management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning, operations or accounting; OR a Master’s Degree with 3+ years in the same fields.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience leading a team, process, and/or project.
  • Must have knowledge of FAR and DFARS.
  • Must have SAP experience.
  • Experience presenting to and collaborating with Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Strategize, plan, and execute material and services content for Triton Sustainment programs.
  • Act as a focal point for the GSC Planning team and coordinate cross-functionally to meet commitments and address programmatic risks.
  • Lead GSC program execution including resource planning, cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk management, and supplier performance.
  • Manage the GSC teams’ rhythm to align with program priorities and minimize distractions.
  • Use metrics and indicators to manage and improve performance across GSC Planning.
  • Participate in development of RFPs, leading GSC Planning scope, estimates, and schedules for the Business Unit.
  • Communicate effectively across departments and with senior leadership.

has an opening for a Manager Supply Chain Programs 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Global Supply Chain Program Management organization.

This leadership position will be located onsite in San Diego, CA.

The Global Supply Chain Program Manager 2 will lead the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Planning team with end-to-end supply chain initiatives for Triton Sustainment. In this role you will partner with Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Mission Assurance, and lead cross-functional teams managing major supplier efforts by providing Program Management leadership, team leadership, and direction in support of multi-million-dollar programs. You will also lead proposal efforts across the Sustainment portfolio, driving the GSC Planning strategy and inputs for competitive and compliant proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a collection of Programs within the Triton Sustainment Portfolio, including leading GSC Planning inputs and strategy for proposals.
  • Acts as a focal point for the GSC Planning team and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.
  • Leads supply chain program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, sales forecast, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.
  • Manages the GSC teams’ rhythm to align with program and organizational priorities to minimize distractions.
  • Ensures the team is utilizing the appropriate metrics and indicators to manage and improve performance.
  • Participates in development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), including leading GSC Planning proposal scope, estimates, and schedules for the Business Unit.
  • The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
  • Candidate must be an effective communicator and will be expected to build relationships across multiple departments.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain management, program management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning, operations or accounting, OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in supply chain management, program management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning, operations or accounting
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience leading a team, process, and/or project
  • Must have knowledge of FAR and DFARS
  • Must have SAP experience
  • Experience conducting presentations to and collaborating with Senior Leadership
  • At minimum, the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly strong in PowerPoint & Excel)
  • SAP experience.
  • Knowledge of FAR and agency supplements
  • Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
