Job description

Job Summary

Directs a dual-function team of data analysts and warehouse inventory auditors while bridging the gap between systemic data integrity in SAP (WM/EWM) and physical inventory accuracy on the distribution floor. In this capacity, the manager ensures that product attributes, slotting configurations, and systemic warehouse parameters precisely reflect physical placement to optimize warehouse throughput and fulfillment speed. Additionally, this role audits inventory systems and physical stock levels regularly to identify, reconcile, and resolve systemic discrepancies.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Leads and mentors a hybrid operational team of desk-based Data Analysts and floor-based Warehouse Inventory Auditors to drive data accuracy and operational integrity. Oversees comprehensive physical and systemic audit programs, including cycle counts, wall-to-wall physical inventories, and automated record-reconciliation audits. Drives accountability for core inventory and data KPIs, regularly reporting on inventory accuracy, master data completeness, unit of measure (UoM) error rates, and bin-level variances. Enforces rigorous governance standards across SAP Material Master (MM) attributes, with specific focus on nested packaging hierarchies, dimensional cube data, and gross/net weight accuracy. Optimizes SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system parameters—including putaway and picking strategies, bin capacities, and slotting rules—in direct partnership with the Slotting Team. Resolves discrepancies between physical floor audits and systemic SAP records through root-cause analysis, establishing permanent validation controls to eliminate recurring variances. Monitors interface messaging (IDocs) and continuous data flows among SAP ERP, SAP EWM, and automated material handling systems to prevent inventory synchronization failures.
