Job description

About the Team

The Occasions team sits within DoorDash's Consumer Experience Strategy & Operations organization. Our mission is to make DoorDash the most engaging and rewarding destination for every moment worth celebrating — from major tentpoles and holidays to everyday celebrations. We partner closely with Marketing, DashPass, New Verticals S&O, and Ads & Promos to expand consumer awareness of DoorDash's full breadth of selection, add value for consumers, and deliver best-in-class go-to-market execution for key Occasions throughout the year.

About the Role

In this role, you will work with Marketing, New Verticals S&O, DashPass, and other cross-functional partners to set the strategy and execute the go-to-market vision for Occasions throughout the year — from everyday moments to major holidays.

You will own projects from hypothesis to implementation to results, and will get scrappy in order to execute high-impact GTM experiments. You'll report out on performance against key metrics — including iGOV, category GOV, category purchasers, and consumer savings — and generate insights that influence business decisions, our consumer strategy, and the future of the DoorDash consumer app.

You will report into the Senior Manager of Consumer Experience, within the Consumer Strategy & Operations organization.

Projects you may work on include planning strategy for key Occasions throughout the year, owning GTM execution across cross-functional teams, improving the efficiency of how we run Occasions, and finding creative ways to monetize Occasions and drive merchant value. You will also be responsible for creating & implementing efficient processes for working cross-functionally with our strategic partners, and for managing and developing a direct report as our Occasions team grows.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Strategize – Shape the strategy for how DoorDash shows up for key Occasions throughout the year and help decide "what we should do next"
  • Build – Design and launch new Occasions initiatives and go-to-market campaigns from the ground up
  • Analyze – Analyze performance against key metrics (iGOV, category GOV, consumer savings) to inform business decisions and future initiatives
  • Influence – Partner with other teams — Marketing, New Verticals S&O, DashPass — to drive cross-functional and go-to-market execution
  • Lead – Manage and develop a direct report as you help build out the Occasions team
We're excited about you because…
  • You have 5+ years of working experience in strategy, operations, consulting, business/product operations, account management, or general management roles
  • You’re creative – You love thinking about new problems, and can switch between high level strategic thinking and in-the-weeds execution as needed
  • You’re a go-getter – You have a bias towards action, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing, hybrid work environment
  • You’re analytical – You enjoy getting deep into data (SQL, Excel, Tableau, or similar) and feel comfortable translating what you're seeing into tangible insights; you are extremely comfortable operating at the lowest level of detail - advanced analytics, experimentation, dashboards
  • You’re a determined operator – You're always up for a challenge and comfortable seeing things all the way through; You have a proven track record of owning and scaling growth initiatives in complex environments
  • You’re a collaborator – You are an excellent written and verbal communicator, eager to build relationships with teammates and cross-functional partners; You have exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence without authority
  • You’re a people leader – You’re excited to manage, coach, and grow a team member as part of building out the Occasions team
Bonus points if…
  • You have past start up experience
  • You’re AI-fluent and familiar with prompt engineering and model evaluation
  • You have experience planning or executing large-scale events, campaigns, or promotions
  • You have experience partnering closely with Marketing, or in account/partner management
