Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–7 years in renewable energy, power markets, corporate strategy, energy finance, private equity, or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. competitive power markets, energy storage economics, and regulatory trends.
  • Advanced financial, market, and portfolio analysis capabilities; Excel modeling; Python/SQL/Tableau preferred.
  • Experience supporting investment analysis, portfolio reporting, valuation, and strategic planning in energy-related organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine corporate strategy initiatives, including multi-year planning and market assessments.
  • Maintain and interpret power market and financial models to support development, trading, finance, and strategic decisions.
  • Lead cross-functional workstreams and prepare materials for executives and Board discussions.
  • Assess emerging technologies and long-term growth opportunities for competitive positioning.
  • Analyze portfolio performance to identify risks, opportunities, and capital allocation priorities.

Job Summary

The Strategy Manager will play a key role in shaping REV's corporate strategy, supporting decision-making across markets, development, operations, finance, and energy management. This role is well suited for candidates who bring a combination of strategic thinking, financial rigor, and experience supporting investment and portfolio management activities within private equity, infrastructure, investment management, or energy-focused organizations.

The successful candidate will leverage analytical and reporting capabilities developed in investment, fund, or portfolio environments to evaluate strategic opportunities, support long-range planning, assess market dynamics, and provide actionable insights to executive leadership.

This role sits in our NYC office with a hybrid 4:1 schedule. At this time, we are unable to offer sponsorship opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine corporate strategy initiatives, including multi-year planning, market assessments, investment opportunity evaluation, and M&A/corporate development analyses; assess market trends, competitive positioning, and technology developments to generate actionable insights.
  • Maintain, improve, and interpret power market and financial models to support development, trading, finance, and strategic decision-making; perform sensitivities, validate assumptions, and derive actionable insights.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Development, Energy Management, Finance, Operations, and Trading; develop analyses and presentations for executive leadership, Board-level stakeholders, and other strategic decision-making forums.
  • Conduct strategic assessments of emerging technologies, market structures, and long-term growth opportunities to support innovation and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze portfolio and business performance, leveraging valuation support, fund reporting, performance measurement, and financial planning processes to identify risks, opportunities, and capital allocation priorities.
Required Education/Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–7 years of experience in renewable energy, power markets, corporate strategy, energy finance, private equity, infrastructure funds, asset management, or related investment/portfolio management functions.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. competitive power markets, renewable energy technologies, industry economics, and regulatory trends; experience with resource adequacy, interconnection, energy storage economics, and regional market design preferred.
  • Advanced financial, market, and portfolio analysis capabilities, including financial modeling in Excel; experience with Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar tools preferred.
  • Experience supporting investment analysis, portfolio reporting, valuation, fund finance, investor reporting, strategic planning, or performance management processes within private equity, infrastructure, asset management, or energy-related organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial, operational, and market data into strategic recommendations and executive- or Board-level materials.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, commercial, and leadership teams.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk, using a computer workstation.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to handle long periods of screen time and typing.
  • Must be able to have effective time management skills, with the ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
