Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a senior procurement professional to drive year-over-year non-salary cost reductions across the health system. You will oversee strategic sourcing, value analysis projects, and contract negotiations to ensure alignment with system goals and budgets.

Ideal candidates will have extensive health system experience, especially in orthopedic, neuroscience, general surgical and/or heart and vascular service lines, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration or related field.
• 8 years of recent relevant experience in a health system or similar setting.
• Experience with orthopedic, neuroscience, general surgical or heart and vascular service lines preferred.

Position Overview

Develops customer focused plans to drive year over year non-salary cost and variation reductions for the health system and measures performance to system, team, and individual goals. Oversees development, communication, and implementation of strategic sourcing and value analysis project plans and activities to include management of schedule, cost, resources, and deliverables throughout all levels of the organization. Provides oversight of negotiations and execution of contracts for services and supplies in accordance with Sutter standards and works with business partners at the strategic level, understanding goals and proposing plans to support them effectively. Identifies program critical success factors and driving mitigation of significant issues and risks are key to this role.

Ideal candidate will have experience within a large health system specifically with orthopedic, neuroscience, general surgical and/or heart and vascular service lines - preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration or related field

8 years of recent relevant experience.

• Proficiency in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio.
• Ability to synthesize data and create meaningful presentation
• Ability to quickly grasp data provided in opportunity analyses and effectively secure feedback to the supplying source as to its quality
• Knowledge of healthcare products and equipment, inventory sources, and alternative sources of supply, purchasing, and distribution systems, contract administration, and new or emerging trends in the industry

Pay Range is $142,126.40 to $213,179.20 / annual salary

The posted pay range is based on the position's primary work location. Candidates who reside and work outside of that location may be subject to a different pay range based on their work location. Candidate starting salaries consider multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
