Manager, Strategic Sales Support
Summary
Responsible for managing the MidMarket Sales Support team that collaborates with sales team members and internal partners to deliver communication and support to an existing client base, prospects, referrals, and Centers of Influence (COIs). Provides guidance to the sales team on product and service offerings, internal processes, and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage MidMarket Sales Support processes, ensuring accuracy and completion of all activities and paperwork within established timelines and policies.
- Oversee the assigned team, resolving prospect and client complaints while maintaining company policies.
- Produce sales reports for management and verify their accuracy.
- Coordinate with internal departments for bid submission, acceptance, and CAMs.
- Test and evaluate technology enhancements prior to deployment.
- Manage support functions related to client changes affecting sales documentation and operations.
- Control volume and distribution of work, developing strategic plans to sustain high service levels.
- Attend training sessions to stay current on products, services, sales processes, benefits, and data requirements.
- Communicate policies, procedures, and important information to the Sales Support Team.
- Maintain a professional office environment and conduct interactions with prospects and clients professionally.
- Work with the Help Desk on technology issues and provide training assistance for technology programs.
- Handle sensitive situations and confidential material with discretion, and solve problems independently.
- Implement effective requirement practices, seeking opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in developing the organization’s requirement policies, procedures, and tools.
- Provide timely, candid feedback, develop employees, recognize achievements, and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Mentor, develop, and manage the team’s skill level and future leaders.
- Promote Insperity’s cultural goals, values, and mission across the department and company.
- Ensure performance standards are met and work to improve client experience and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Seven to nine years of experience in sales administration or a related field (required).
- Knowledge of Insperity sales processes (preferred).
- Experience interacting directly with prospects and clients professionally (required).
Travel Requirements
Travel up to 5% of the time.
