Longroad Energy, a Boston-based renewable energy developer, seeks a Manager, Strategic Partnerships to advance data center development and commercial activities across the U.S. pipeline.
The role partners with internal teams—energy development, power markets, engineering, and finance—and external consultants to de-risk and progress opportunities toward commercial operation. The role is fully remote with travel ~20%, reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships.
Longroad Energy is a Boston, MA headquartered renewable energy developer focused on the development, ownership, and operation/asset management of wind and solar energy projects throughout North America. Founded in 2016, Longroad owns 4.5 GW of wind and solar projects across the United States in addition to operating and managing a total of 6.2 GW of wind and solar projects on behalf of Longroad and third parties. The Manager, Strategic Partnerships will support commercial efforts for partnering with data center customers and data center development activities within Longroad’s Strategic Partnerships and M&A function. As data centers represent a new and evolving component of Longroad’s development portfolio, this role will focus on advancing development and commercial related workstreams for data center opportunities in the Longroad pipeline.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships, this role will assist with evaluating sites, creating marketing material for commercial discussions, and supporting cross-functional teams to de-risk projects during and following transaction execution. The role will operate across all U.S. power markets, collaborating closely with internal energy development, power markets, engineering, legal, and finance teams, as well as external consultants and partners. Success in this role will be measured by the ability to effectively support data center projects through key development and commercial milestones to ultimately achieve commercial operation. Moderate travel (~20%) is required. Role is fully remote.
