Job summary

Giant is hiring Store Managers for our Odenton, MD location. We seek proven, experienced store leaders with a passion for customer service and a knack for driving sales. Prior experience in store management is required.

As a Store Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, lead associates, manage payroll and budget, ensure compliance with all Giant programs and applicable laws, and drive store performance. Travel within regional areas may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a nationally or regionally recognized perishable, grocery, and/or big box retail company is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing people, departments and/or whole stores.
• Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, inventory, payroll, P&L analysis, project management, and personnel management.
• Knowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practices.
• Bachelor's degree in business concentration (Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or similar).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills; able to gain and keep the confidence of associates, customers, and management.
• Willing to work required hours, travel and take assignments within the regional business areas (Washington/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware).

That includes customer service, training and development of management and store associates, labor management, cash and inventory control, asset protection, shrink, store conditions, and performance management.

As a Store Manager, you will:

What You Will Bring

Experience in a nationally or regionally recognized perishable, grocery, and/or big box retail company is strongly preferred

• A Bachelor's Degree in a business concentration, such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or others
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills' the ability to acquire and keep the confidence of associates, customers, and management alike
• Staffers must be willing to work required hours, travel and take assignment within the regional business areas (Washington/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware)

Salary range is between $68,640.00- $85,800.00
