As a Manager, State Government Affairs, you will develop relationships and serve as a liaison with State & Local officials, coalitions, and industry associations with aligned interests, leveraging them in support of company priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Engage on federal or international issues outside of state or local concerns as part of a nimble Government Affairs team.
  • Identify emerging legislative issues and policy trends affecting corporate objectives, including agriculture, climate, renewable fuels, tax, and right-to-repair.
  • Manage state contract lobbying activities and direct lobbying efforts on issues like right-to-repair in various states.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with government officials, public services, stakeholders, industry trade associations, and commodity groups.
  • Understand the political environment in states with company facilities.
  • Collaborate with site management to pursue economic development opportunities.
  • Coordinate activities with business units and government affairs team members.
  • Advise business units on policy concerns and represent them before policymakers.
  • Analyze government initiatives, assess impacts, and develop action plans.
  • Develop legislative or regulatory initiatives beneficial to the company.
  • Leverage political resources from other organizations to influence common interests.
  • Create materials and arguments to inform and advocate for corporate views.
  • Host senior executives, government officials, and stakeholders at CNH locations.
  • Stay informed on corporate plans and interpret them into political priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with lobbying regulations and government interactions.

The annual salary range for this role is $119,250 - $159,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of legislative or policy experience
  • Knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes

Preferred:

  • Experience building coalitions for legislative activities
