As a Manager, State Government Affairs, you will develop relationships and serve as the liaison with State & Local officials, coalitions, and industry associations with similar interests and viewpoints, leveraging them in support of company priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Engage on Federal or International issues outside of State or local matters as part of a nimble Government Affairs organization.
  • Identify emerging legislative issues and policy trends affecting corporate objectives, including agriculture, climate, carbon markets, renewable fuels, tax, and right-to-repair.
  • Manage state contract lobbying activities and direct lobbying efforts on key issues like right-to-repair in various states.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with government officials, public services, and stakeholders at all levels to facilitate communication and advance business interests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry trade associations, equipment dealer associations, and commodity groups.
  • Collaborate with site management to initiate and lead applications and contracting for economic development opportunities.
  • Coordinate activities with business units and government affairs team members.
  • Advise business units on policy concerns and represent interests before policymakers.
  • Analyze government initiatives' impact, alert executives, and develop action plans.
  • Develop ideas for beneficial regulatory or legislative initiatives.
  • Leverage political resources of other companies and associations to influence shared concerns.
  • Prepare materials and arguments to present corporate views to government officials.
  • Host senior executives, government officials, and stakeholders at CNH locations.
  • Stay informed on corporate plans and interpret them into political priorities.
  • Maintain compliance with lobbying regulations and interactions with government officials.

The annual salary range for this role is $119,250 - $159,000 (actual salaries vary based on skills, experience, and qualifications).

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of legislative/policy experience
  • Confirmed knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes

Preferred:

  • Experience building coalitions for legislative activity
